Dr. Baggott graduated from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, where he was an Honor Initiate with Sigma Nu Fraternity, and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary where his emphasis was preaching, receiving his Master of Divinity degree in 1984.  He holds a Doctor of Ministry Degree from Graduate Theological Foundation, South Bend, Indiana. He also holds an honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree, from Piedmont College in Demorest, Georgia. Dr. Baggott has done additional study at the Summer Theological Institute at Oxford University, England.  Recently Dr. Baggott completed a course of study at the Center for Congregational Health in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

A noted preacher that the Minneapolis Star Tribune called “engaging and thought-provoking,” Dr. Baggott was one of twelve clergy chosen to be included in the inaugural Robert Schuler Institute of Preaching; was invited to preach at the National Cathedral’s Bethlehem Chapel at the anniversary service of the crash of Pan Am 103; and preached at the Ocean Park Temple Church’s 125^th anniversary Celebration in Ocean Park, Maine.

Dr. Baggott has served frequently as a summer chapel preacher, giving sermons in Watch Hill, Rhode Island; Roaring Gap, North Carolina; and Ocean Park, Maine. Last summer the Drs. Baggott were the Preachers of the Week at the Chautauqua Institute.  Dr. Robert Baggott has also delivered commencement speeches for Piedmont College and the University of Indianapolis. Dr. Baggott has been honored for his religious service by giving the Opening Invocation for the Congress of the United States and by serving there as Chaplain for the day.

Dr. Baggott’s honors include being named by Miami Magazine as one of 86 people to watch, Religious Leader of the Year in Naperville, Ill, and International Citizen of the Year by the University of Indianapolis for his work in Israel with Palestinian Christians. 

He has been President of the Coconut Grove Rotary Club in Miami, Chair of the Protestant Appeal of Miami, Board Member of the Year for the Community Renewal Society, and Board Member of the Nazareth-Galilee Educational Institute, in Nazareth, Israel.  He currently serves on the national Day 1 Advisory Board in Atlanta, Georgia (formerly the Protestant Hour) and is a member of the United States Seniors Golf Association. 
(His golf handicap remains a mystery.)

Dr. Baggott has an undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Minnesota where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa, a Master of Divinity degree from United Seminary of the Twin Cities, and has received her Doctor of Ministry from the Graduate Theological Foundation, in South Bend, Indiana. She has completed additional training in clinical pastoral education, bioethics, and spiritual guidance; and she has studied in the Summer Theological Institute at Oxford University, England.   

Recently, Dr. Baggott completed a course of study at the Center for Congregational Health in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. 

The Drs. Baggott were chosen to teach a week-long Bible Study by the Temple Church, in Ocean Park, Maine during the Temple’s 125th summer celebration. They were also invited to teach a week-long Bible Study on Genesis at Ocean Grove Park, New Jersey’s celebration of faith. 

Dr. Casey Baggott has preached at the chapels of Roaring Gap, North Carolina and Watch Hill, Rhode Island during their summer worship schedules. Last summer the Drs. Baggott were the Preachers of the Week at the Chautauqua Institute. 

Dr. Casey Baggott’s publications include two full years of liturgical prayers for the Clergy Journal, a sermon series for the Clergy Journal, and a sermon entitled “With Me” which was chosen for publication by the Library of Distinctive Sermons. She has also preached on the Day 1 Radio program on several occasions and has contributed faith articles to a local newspaper, “32963,” for seven years. 

Before going to Vero Beach, Dr. Baggott worked in the areas of behavioral research, as a chaplain, and as a consultant in bioethics and spiritual ministries, as well as serving as a parish pastor. She was also a member of the “Women’s Economic Roundtable of Minnesota.” In Vero Beach, she enjoyed continuing her community service via membership on the board of directors of the Homeless Family Center of Vero Beach and Harvest Food and Outreach Center. 

Dr. Baggott and her husband have grown children and now are thrilled to dote upon their six grandchildren. Whenever possible, Dr. Baggott enjoys hiking, biking, kayaking, and savoring poetry.
